Bastrop M.S. Football Players,
Hope all of you are having an enjoyable, fun-packed summer. As we near the beginning of school and the football season, there are some upcoming dates to keep in mind.
The 7th-9th grade football camp will be held on August 3rd-5th, at Erhard Field from 6-8:30 p.m. The cost is $25 or $10 if you attended the Summer Strength & Conditioning Camp. We will be putting in our offense and defense for this season, so attendance is very important.
On August 19th we will issue football equipment to all 7th and 8th grade players. This will take place from 4-8 p.m. at Bastrop M.S. This is also the night of Open House, so you can meet all your teachers for this year as well. It is very important to get your equipment on this day because our 1st day of workout is on the 1st day of school, August 23rd from 4-5:30 p.m. 
I look forward to seeing each of you at camp on August 3rd.

BMS Football Player Manual

BMS Football Academic Plan

It is MANDATORY that each athlete have a UIL Physical, Acknowledgement of Rules, Medical History, Illegal Steroid Use, Emergency Information and Athletic Handbook Acknowledgement form on file before they can participate in practice (during or after school) or games.  The Acknowledgement of Rules asks that parents have read the UIL Parent Information Manual, which you can find at (www.uil.utexas.edu).  You will need to double click on the Athletic icon, and then click on information for all UIL Sports.  You will then find the Parent Information Manual.  If you do not have access to the internet, we can make you a copy, or we will have a copy in the Coaches Office. .

Athletes are expected to be picked up at the time practice ends.  A coach will remain with the athletes until 5:45 p.m. If there are consistent problems with this, additional consequences may result.  Please pick your child up on time, or make arrangements ahead of time. 

Athletic equipment will be provided for every student. (Except Shoes)  Students will be responsible for paying for any lost or misplaced equipment.

On out of town games athletes will be required to ride to and from athletic events on the bus.

We will be kicking of annual fundraiser on August 27th. Each athlete will receive information about the fundraiser at that time.

Directions to Fields

Bastrop Memorial Stadium:  Take Hwy. 71 West to Hwy. 21.  Turn left on Hwy.21 and go @ 4 miles and field will be on your left.

Decker and Manor:   Take Hwy. 71 West to Toll Rd. 130.  Turn Right on Toll Rd. and drive to Hwy. 290.  Turn Right on Hwy. 290.  Go @ 2 miles and field will be on your right. It is behind the Tech School.

Del Valle and Ojeda:  Take Hwy. 71 West to Ross Rd.  Take a left at the light.  Go @ 1 mile and the field is behind Del Valle High School.

Elgin:  Take Hwy. 95 to Elgin.  Turn left on Hwy. 290.  Go to 2nd light (across from HEB).  Turn right to the field.

Hutto and Farley:  Take Hwy. 71 West to Toll Rd. 130.  Turn Right on Toll Rd. and Exit 426.  Turn right on FM. 685.  Field on the right @ 2 miles.
